Winchester Steel Co.

The Winchester Steel Co. program is managed and operated by the Canal Winchester Performing Arts Collective and the Canal Winchester Joint Recreation District.

Founded in 1999, the Winchester Steel Co. has become the premier Steel Drum Band program in Central Ohio. We've worked with Grammy Award winners, Steel Drum Icons such as as Ray Holman, Andy Narell, Chris Tanner, Tom Miller, and Jim Munzenrider, recorded 6 CDs, opened for the Columbus Jazz Orchestra for more than a decade and we were featured performers at a Governor's Inauguration.

Who can join?

We have three unique groups for different age-groups, whether you're in Middle School, High School, or an Adult we're got a pan for you. While knowing how to read music certainly helps to play in a group, it's not a requirement (we'll help teach you!).
